History
In 1865, a small number of English Baptists began to meet at Trinity Church between Aberavon and Cwmavon. Their numbers grew and in 1871 the Rev Thomas Richards was invited by the then Glamorgan and Carmarthen English Baptist Association to establish an English Baptist Church at Trinity. Their numbers grew; Trinity became too small for them and they began to meet in the old Town Hall in Aberavon before building a new Church in Water Street in 1877.
